Used for easily & properly installing the front crankshaft wear sleeve, avoiding any leak due uneven placement and making the job done right and in order.

Step 1. Place the crankshaft wear sleeve; (Apply a little bit thread sealant on the crankshaft before setting.)

Step 2. Align the 5046 mounting tool with the wear sleeve;

Step 3. Use a wrench to tighten the mounting screws until push in the wear sleeve to the exact position;

Step 4. Loosen the 5046 install tool, get the installation job done.

Direct replacement for OEM part number 3824498, 1338 and ST-213. Fits for 1989-2016 Cummins 4BT 3.9L, for B series 5.9L, for ISB 5.9L 6.7L and for QSB 5.9L 6.7L.

This tool #1338 is required for installing seal number 3937111, 3904353 or the seal from kit 3802820.

Used to easily & properly replace / install the crankshaft seal, prevents the seal from leaking.

A MUST HAVE TOOL - Installing the seal uneven can cause leaks prematurely, make sure the job is done right with this installation tool.

Step 1. Knock the old crack seal out;

Step 2. Wipe the surface, make sure the installation position is clean;

Step 3. Insert the new crank seal into 1338 installation tool; (Apply a little bit thread sealant on the new seal before inserting.)

Step 4. Place both the seal and 1338 install tool into the front cover;(Properly support the front cover to prevent damage to the seal and front cover.)

Step 5. Use a rubber hammer to hit the seal installer until firm;

Step 6. Remove the installer tool and the new crank seal is in the correct depth.

Installation completed.
