The hood microswitch (OEM: 2048703158) features the same electrical connector and mounting points. It ensures precise installation and proper operation of the hood lock monitoring system for specific models. No coding is required to restore performance.
Detects the engagement of the hood lock and sends a signal to the vehicle's ECU. If the hood is not locked, a warning is triggered in the instrument panel, ensuring occupant safety. This is critical for vehicle compliance.
